Initial school setup: sign-up and the first 15 minutes

Quick answer

To get started with Badgie, sign up for free with no card at badgie.com/sign-up: across three screens you enter your school's name, phone number, sports, your email and a password. Once inside, Badgie asks how you manage your students today and where you want to start, and turns on the modules that fit. Then the Onboarding board guides you through four steps —categories or teams, trainings, coaches and athletes— and in about 15 minutes your first class is on the calendar.

Where to find it

  • Sign-up: badgie.com/sign-up (in Spanish, badgie.es/registrarse), or the free trial button on the website.
  • Setup board: the Onboarding pill in the dashboard header (/welcome).
  • Modules: Customize your Badgie at the bottom of the side menu, or Management → Modules.
  • First class: Dashboard → Calendar, Create Event button.

Step by step: the first 15 minutes

  1. Go to badgie.com/sign-up and press Continue. The trial is free and needs no card.
  2. In Your school, type the school name (this is how it will appear on your students' badges), the phone number and the sports; each sport is added as a tag.
  3. In Create your account, enter your email and a password, accept the terms and press Create account. You land straight in your dashboard.
  4. Answer the two start-up questions: how you manage your students today (a spreadsheet or CSV, another management program, WhatsApp and paper, or starting from scratch) and where you want to start, where you tick your goals: fees and payments, calendar and attendance, online bookings, communication with families, football academy, belts… Each goal turns on its module. If you'd rather do it later, skip it.
  5. Open Onboarding and follow the Get your superclub up and running board: Categories or levels (Teams if yours is a team sport), Trainings, Coaches or Instructors, and Athletes and Guardians. Each step unlocks the next and an agent helps you with each one: you can upload a spreadsheet or a photo of your list.
  6. Check in Customize your Badgie which modules you see: turn on the ones for your sport and turn off the ones you don't use. Nothing is deleted when you turn a module off.
  7. Create your first class: on the empty Dashboard calendar press Set up my calendar with the Agent (tell it which groups train, on which days and at what time, and you just approve) or I'd rather create them myself, which takes you to the calendar with the Create Event button.

What families see

Nothing yet: families get access to the app when you add their children. From then on they see the class calendar, badges, reports and club messages on their phone. Teachers receive their credentials when you add them.

By sport

  • Team sports (football, basketball, volleyball…): the first step on the board is Teams. In football, turn on Cantera and follow Setting up a football academy.
  • Individual sports (swimming, tennis, golf, martial arts…): the first step is Categories or levels.
  • Golf, padel and tennis: in Customize your Badgie, the sport verticals card turns on the full package for the sport with a single switch.

With the AI agent

On the board, each step has its own agent (Calendar agent, Sports coach, Athlete coach), and in the dashboard you can ask Badgie Agentic with phrases like "Create a beginners' class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm" or "Turn on the bookings module". It uses real club tools such as create_event, create_teacher, create_student and set_module_enabled, and asks for your approval before creating anything.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a card to sign up?

No. Sign-up is free and needs no card. Only if you come from the pricing page with a plan selected does Badgie take you to payment after sign-up.

I skipped the start-up questions. Can I answer them later?

Yes. Press Onboarding in the dashboard header: if you haven't answered them, it shows them again before the board.

Do I have to complete the four steps in order?

By default, yes: each step unlocks the next. If part of your club is already set up, you can leave the board and go straight to the dashboard.

Can I change the active modules later?

Yes, whenever you like, from Customize your Badgie. Turning a module off only hides it; the data is kept.

Can you set it up for me?

Yes. On the board, Need help from an expert? offers to have the Badgie team set it up with you.
