Create and manage events: tournaments, matches, meetings and classes

Quick answer

In Badgie everything that happens at the club is created in Calendar → Create event with a five-step wizard: Essentials, Schedule, Participants, Settings and Review. The type (Class, Match, Tournament, Masterclass, Trial, Meeting, Transfer or Other) identifies it on the calendar. A tournament such as the Autumn Trophy is a one-off event: Does not repeat, with its students called up and, if you like, visible to the whole school.

Autumn Trophy event card: public tournament on Saturday 17 October from 9:00 to 13:30 at Piscina Delta with 28 students
A one-off tournament: Tournament type, public visibility, a description for families, the teacher in charge, students called up, attendance and badges.

During and after the event

Open the event in the Calendar to manage it: Teachers and Students to adjust who is going, Take attendance and Behaviour on the day, Send badges to the students who earned them and Manage notices to see the notifications.

  • The pencil edits the event (in a series, Edit only this session or Edit the class (all sessions)).
  • The three dots cancel it (kept as not held, with a reason, and restorable) or delete it (removed with its attendance, without notice and with no undo). Details are in the guide "Recurring events and exceptions".

What the family or player sees

A student who is called up sees the event in the app calendar with its date, time, location and description. If the event is public and open for enrolment, other students can sign up from the app. If you turned on confirmation or a reminder, the notice arrives by App, Email or WhatsApp.

By sport

  • Swimming: trophies and time trials as Tournament events; championships over several meets are followed in Academy → Championships.
Academy, Championship management: Season opening trophy and Autumn Trophy in swimming with badges and athletes
Academy → Championships gathers the seasons, badges awarded and athletes of each championship.
  • Football: the Match type asks for the Match type and the Opponent for academy teams.
  • Trips and travel: the Transfer type adds the Pick-up point.
  • Recruitment: the Trial type is for new students' trial classes; Masterclass is for special sessions with guests.

With the AI agent

  • "Create the Christmas Trophy on Saturday 19 December from 9:00 to 13:00 at the pool" (creates a one-off event; it can create several at once from a competition calendar you give it as text, PDF or photo).
  • "Rename the Afternoon adults class to Adults 20:45".
  • "What events do we have next week?".

The agent proposes each change and applies it once you approve.
