Quick answer
The Badgie Calendar is where a club organises all its classes, matches, tournaments and meetings: each group is a recurring series with its schedule, teacher, location and places. From it you take attendance (on the web or in the coach app), rate behaviour with faces, manage enrolments and waiting lists, ask families to confirm and analyse attendance and dropout risk.
In this guide
Where to find it
- Web: side menu Dashboard → Calendar. Tabs: Calendar, Attendance, Tracking, Behaviour, Birthdays and Settings (courses, seasons and event series).
- Coach app: their timetable, Take attendance and Behaviour for each session.
- Family app: the student's timetable, attendance history, confirming attendance and signing up for open events.
- AI agent (Super Coach): creates schedules and events, moves students between groups, cancels days and answers attendance questions.
Step by step: create a class
- Go to Dashboard → Calendar and click Create event.
- Essentials: choose the type (Class, Match, Tournament, Masterclass, Trial, Meeting, Transfer or Other), write the title and assign course, season, location and teachers.

- Schedule: under Repeat choose Does not repeat, Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks or Monthly; tick the days, start and end time and Repeat until (or No end date).
- Participants: add the students and the Capacity; optionally Enable waiting list.
- Settings: visibility (Private or Public), enrolment (Automatic or Requires approval), attendance confirmation, reminder and channels (App, Email or WhatsApp), and linked payment plans.
- Review: check the summary and create the event.
Step by step: take attendance and rate behaviour
- Open the session in the Calendar (or in the coach app) on the day of the class.
- Click Take attendance and mark each student Present or Absent (there is also With another team). You can give an absent student a reason; some reasons do not count as an absence.

- If the club has the behaviour module on, give each student a Good, Normal or Bad face (or All OK for everyone). A red face asks for a reason: Lack of attention, Lack of respect, Does not follow the rules, Arrives late, Little effort or Other.

- From the same session you can Send badges to students who deserve them.
Schedule changes, cancellations and waiting lists
- To change a single session choose Edit this session only; for the whole series, Edit the class (all sessions). Changing the pattern regenerates future classes that have no attendance yet.
- For a bank holiday, Mark as not held with the reason «Bank holiday or club closed»: it does not count as an absence and you can Restore class. Cancel the whole series closes the group.
- With capacity and a waiting list on, once the class is full new students go to the waiting list. You can Promote a student; when a place frees up Badgie sends a WhatsApp and the place goes to whoever confirms it.
More detail in the guides «Recurring events and exceptions» and «Enrolments and waiting list».
Attendance, follow-up and analytics
- Attendance: Overview (attendance for the period by session, group and teacher, with export), Attendance matrix and Dropout risks, which flags who is slipping and why (consecutive absences, falling attendance).
- Tracking: attendance confirmations (who confirmed, declined or did not answer) and automatic notices scheduled to families.
- Behaviour: % of good faces per student, group and session, and the list of red faces.
- Birthdays: the day's birthdays appear in the agenda and you can turn on automatic WhatsApp birthday greetings.

- … menu: Daily matrix, Copy schedules and Sync calendar to export to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook (they refresh every few hours) or import an iCal calendar.
What the family or player sees
By sport
- Football: matches are created as Match (opponent, home or away, academy team) and trips as Transfer with pick-up point and destination. Attendance allows With another team.
- Swimming, tennis, padel, martial arts or skiing: each level or group is a weekly series with its capacity; trial classes use the Trial type.
- Tournaments and exhibitions: Tournament or Masterclass type, with no repetition.
With the AI agent
- «Create the Beginners 5-7 group on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 to 17:45 until June.»
- «Cancel all classes on 12 October, it is a bank holiday.»
- «Move LucĂa to the Improvement group.»
- «Who is at risk of dropping out because of absences?» or «Which group has the worst behaviour this month?»
- «Turn on birthday greetings.»
The agent proposes each change and applies it when you approve. Attendance is taken on the web or in the app.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take attendance for a future class?
No. Attendance can be marked from the day of the class.
If I cancel a class for a holiday, does it count as an absence?

Can families see the behaviour faces?
