Great Trethew Trekking
Great Trethew Trekking is a family-run equestrian riding school in Menheniot, Cornwall. It is Cornwall Council licensed, ABRS+ approved and Ofsted registered. Riding lessons cater for beginner to advanced level, with a maximum of three participants in group lessons.
Woodland hacks take riders through 30 acres of private gardens and woodland. They are available for adults and children aged four and above, and qualified staff lead all hacks. The maximum rider weight for hacks is 14 stone, while sand school riding has a weight limit of 12 stone. Moorland and beach rides are also offered.
Kids clubs teach pony care and stable management and run on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Home education sessions take place during term time on Thursdays and Fridays between 9:30am and 2:30pm. The school also offers equine-assisted therapy for people with disabilities and special educational needs. Alternative Provision runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Private riding lessons cost £40 for 30 minutes or £55 for 45 minutes. Pony experiences cost £40 for a one-hour session.
